As many of you know, I have a classic and timeless style and love creating beautiful spaces for you. I also love using a careful blend of your existing treasures along with newly discovered items to elevate those areas of your home. These curated interiors should tell your unique story.
This year I am especially focusing on how to display various collections that you may own, as well as repurposing your furniture and belongings wherever possible. This may include options such as reupholstery and reframing certain pieces of art.
It constantly amazes my clients when they see a “tired” but loved old piece completely refreshed with a new lease on life. Not to mention, it is so much better for the environment.
There has definitely been a shift in the industry to embracing more sustainable materials, as well as supporting local artisans and businesses. This is definitely a concept that I will continue to champion.
In terms of design shifts and trends, we are seeing a resurgence back to beautiful natural stone, aged and patinaed metal finishes and lots of warm and deep tones.
Muted shades of green, terracotta, chocolate brown and watered down reds all continue to be strongly featured in upcoming projects.
So with that in mind, you may want to look at your current surroundings and if you feel something isn’t quite working, or the space doesn’t feel quite like you, it is a perfect opportunity to make some changes. As always, I am available to offer my expert advice on your personal projects if needed. Simply get in touch via email or my website.
Wishing you all a wonderful month ahead filled with style…
